A Little Bit About Myself

Hello, and allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is Jennifer Morgante and I am currently a Junior at Rider University. For as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. I’ve always worked with children whether it was babysitting, working in my church as a CCD teachers assistant, or my part time job now at The Harmony School as a teachers assistant. My passion is for teaching and I can’t wait until I have a classroom of my own.

My mom and dad are very hardworking people and have instilled that great work ethic in me. My older brother is my role model because he has showed me that you can do anything you put your mind to. He is currently completing a program at UMASS where he will obtain his doctorate in the Fall. My sister has taught me patience and kindness. She has a learning disability and is a part of the Special Olympics where she competes in swimming. My younger brother is a dispatcher at the Sheriffs Department in Trenton, NJ and he has taught me to take the good with the bad and to not dwell on the small stuff.

My family has helped shaped me into the person I am today, teaching me many qualities to help me in the future.

Jen,
The layout of your blog is very professional. By posting all of your experiences with children and being in the classroom, you look very marketable to the field of education. As you continue through the education program, you will collect a lot more materials and I hope that you continue to update your blog with these materials. Nice work!

I thought that Jen did a great job of demonstrating herself on her blog. Your passion for children and teaching is very much shown in your voice and in your blog. The pictures add a great touch to your blog. Your papers were a good idea to post on your blog. It shows that you are capable of writing a good paper which is a plus in any field of work. The only thing I would change is I would spice up your resume a bit. It looks a little plain right now and I'm sure you have more to put on it than what is there. Otherwise, great job and good luck in the teaching world!
